SCs on reward bookings promotion history

Hi All,

I'm hoping that someone who has been around longer than me can give me a history of anytime VA has offered SC earn on award seats as a promotion?
Have they done such a thing? more than once?
Any details would be greatly appreciated.

I think they may have at one point but not any more, I believe if you book any seat with points you will earn SCs and points..

Yes, I'm aware that you get SC earn on anyseat awards. However was hoping for promo history, as I can't locate such things on the velocity website.

Yes, a few years ago but I wouldn't hold your breath for a repeat any time soon.

There was one in 2013.

It also coincided with some interesting glitch reward fares. Half my family flew from CBR-DPS in J and for 0 points + taxes and picked up a gold status with a bit of smart pooling.

Haven't seen one since.
