Do Virgin have any partner airlines where I could book a classic rewards flight from Brisbane to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand or Japan?

Alternatively what about Iceland or Denmark?

All of those are covered by Singapore Airlines.

Denmark

Options include Seasonal (Euro summer) on Air Canada via Canada, Qatar Airways via Doha or Singapore Airlines via Singapore

Japan

Shortly Virgin will fly from Cairns to Tokyo meaning BNE-CNS-HND will be possible. Singapore Airlines via Singapore is also an option and if you're crazy enough Qatar Airways also is an option.

Iceland

Seasonal flights (read Icelandic summer) should be book able on either Air Canada or United Airlines from Brisbane via Canada or the US. Although at this point neither Air Canada or United has released any award space to Keflavik.

Did you have to convert to KrisFlyer to book that, or can it just be done with Velocity Points?

I am going to book with Singapore Airlines from Brisbane -> Singapore - Hanoi. Then on the way back Siem Reap -> Singapore -> Brisbane. So that trip is all sorted thanks to everyone here

Next trip question... does Virgin not release reward seats for Brisbane - Bali in business? Browsing a few dates in 2024, can't see any? Better off with Qantas for this?

Not that I've seen. The major ports seem to be selling them as revenue only.

A lot have just sold out, a couple of months ago I locked in some Bali to Brisbane business class award seats so they do exist.
