Seasonal DRW-DOH floated

This is behind a paywall, but: Wouldn't, say, OOL make more sense if they were going to add another route to Australia outside the four limited ports (and assuming WSI is treated common with SYD when it opens)? Unless they were thinking of using maybe an A330 and it's a range issue? Whatever DRW market exists seems like it could be routed through DPS or SIN.

I think DOH-DPS-DRW with something like a 787-8 or A330 could work. There's enough demand between DPS and DRW that the loads might not be terrible.

Yields are another thing, though. Wonder how much cargo demand there is between DOH and DRW?

CNS has been trying to get one of the ME3 for decades. When the government rejected QR’s increase in flights in the last couple years, I thought it might finally get them one via a tag flight (that is, QR could increase flights to SYD, for example, if they tagged CNS on like they do the MEL/ADL flight). But alas…

Looks like DPS is a pretty efficient routing from CNS or DRW to DOH, and indeed that DRW works for a routing CNS-DOH too:

And DPS is already a port with a significant volume of QR metal; it looks like there are two or three widebody rotations per day at the moment.
