I've booked HKG-PEK legs on CX and KA through the QF website which show up on my Qantas profile. When I go to pre-select seats it allows me to do so for the QF legs, but for CX/KA I can only nominate a general window/aisle preference. Is there a way to be more specific through the CX or KA websites?

How soon is the flight?

It used to be that CX did not allow selection more then 6 months out.
Other than that, you need to use CX's site.

IME you can only seat select for CX on their site, not through QF

Had the same problem, book thru QF website and code share with CX. End up calling CX Office in Aus, they were v helpful and end up allocating the seats I wanted on my behalf via telephone. Make sure u have the seating chart form flight guru in front of you before calling to pick the best seat available.
