Re: TT 10,000 seats for $10 between MEL and SYD

I have 5 seats why would I pay an extra $250 when I can pay $50 unless you want to hand over a day's pay

I can see no reference to $5 exit seats on JQ.

Me either. $5 is the standard seat price AFAIK. $25 seems correct for extra leg room seating. At $9 per seat the exit row hardly seems important for 60 minutes, you don't choose to fly JQ for comfort. Take your pick of what's left during OLCI.

Re: TT 10,000 seats for $10 between MEL and SYD

So that brings the total of the flights to $34 per person per leg with the Exit Rows. Thats still a very good deal.

For the hour and a bit, I would just keep the money and put up with the given seat.

Re: TT 10,000 seats for $10 between MEL and SYD

Tiger is 'giving' away 10,000 seats for $10 on selected flights between MEL and SYD between mid July and late August.

Managed to get JQ to 'price beat' one of these flights at $9 (also paid $5 to select the prized seat 12A on the A321 with no seat in front). Total cost $14  :p

This is the post I'm referring to. Yes its only a 1 hour 30 mins flight but for $5 il take the extra room but not for $25. I would like to know how this member got to select the same seat I want for $5 and not the $25 I'm quoted. We both paid $9 for the flights and on the same routing.

12A on an A321 is not the same as 12A on the aircraft you are travelling on (a320). On an A320 12A is an exit row.

Re: TT 10,000 seats for $10 between MEL and SYD

I think that's a different plane I'm on the A320 . I'm currently in the first row so see what happens from there. The agent said it's not guaranteed more like a requested.
Being a AA oneworld super emerald I'm sure il be fine. Haha

Also just saw SYD-OOL return $26 on jetstar oct nov if anyone interested.

Re: TT 10,000 seats for $10 between MEL and SYD

A price beat booking takes a few days to come up online, once it does its no different to a normal booking.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I just checked a few hours ago and it worked, whereas two days ago it didn't (I booked before this thread appeared) - Mine must have taken a wee bit longer to process. It's curious that I got straight no's from the call centre and the social media team.

I hope everyone in your group is 15 years or over if you're sitting in an exit row because children are not allowed to sit there.

If that happens airport staff will reassign exit row seats to able bodied pax & you will be moved to a standard seat.

In this case there would be no refund on an extra monies paid for exit seating as you would have agreed to the terms and conditions which amongst other things states that the pax are 15 years and over.

Yes that's correct with the QC. I have a family of 4 with a mate coming down with us . For $9 who's going to say no.

As a matter of interest, do you expect to get three adults and two kids into the QP on that one card? If you manage it I am in awe. (I know very little of QP)

Shanye2233,

Maybe I'm a bit slow today but why did you buy a Qantas Club membership when you are OW Emerald :?:

If the kids are 4 & 2 isn't that a little bit young to be sitting by themselves in row 2 next to a stranger if the 'accompanying' adults are in the exit row in front?

Most kids wouldn't want to be next to a stranger either & would prefer to sit with their parents.
