At Longreach airport, passengers are security screened yet deposited landside in BNE following a bus tour of the airport (side point - Dash400's carry more passengers than what fit onto a single bus!). In SYD, when security screened at regional airports passengers get dropped airside, while those unscreened (from ARM) get dropped landside. Is there any reason for BNE's over zealous security checking?

Not the answer you are after but I think you mean over zealous and not jealous

Fixed - I will blame autocorrect but more likely I stuffed up.
