Selecting best window seats

I love a window seat, but hate it when I find myself with the structure between the windows directly in my view. I want to be able to avoid these seats and select the seats that best align with the windows.

Seat Guru offers nothing for this. Is there any other tool that helps with this?

I don't fly that often, but the majority of my flying is with Qantas.

I find the Qantas seat map pdfs to have accurate depictions of the window / seat juxtapositions, though not for the Qantaslink aircraft.
You might need to zoom in to see the detail.
I don't recall similar for other airlines.
