Time to sell my old car as i've ordered a new one (which is arriving in around 3 weeks). I've had it up online for 3 weeks now and doesn't seem to be much interest (I'm guessing the market is dead unfortunately).

2005 MY06 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan in Crystal Grey (Metallic Silver). just a touch over 57k on the clock. Just been detailed, polished (3 stage) 50k service done and i've had all rims fixed to remove gutter scrapes (they look awesome actually).

Anyone interested? I have ads up in various places (carsales etc) if people want more info.

I wouldn't usually post this here, but it's getting close to my 'must go by' deadline, and i'm shocked at the lack of phone calls from all the major sites i've put it on (2 phone calls, 2 scam SMS's from people on Oil Rigs and Marine Biologists ) and it's around the right money from what I can judge.

(If this is deemed to be against forum rules, someone please tell me and ill remove it; not sure if this falls under the commercial guidelines or not!).

Its probably not a good time to be selling anything ATM, All the best though, if its better than the others around, you should still sell it

Alas I don't think any time of late is the right time.

It does seem better than the others, but of course I'm biased. Based on pics of similar models around, it's better (and around 40-60k LESS than others out there; it's really not had much use compared to what is classed as average).

If I didn't have a deadline I wouldn't be worrying, but with only around 3 weeks to go before it has to be gone, i'm starting to panic (maybe I need more Taittinger!).

Yes uncork the champagne so you can feel better while you wait for that one buyers call.....you only need one genuine buyer!

This is exactly what I'm trying to tell myself :)

In the mean time, i'm whoring it out to Gumtree and Carbuddy, ie, any site that's free, as well as coughing up for most the paid ones (except drive.com.au, there's sfa there to look at). Gotta hold back on the Champers a little. If someone wants to take it for a drive, I'll drive it first then hand them the controls so need to be sober :(

ebay, with no reserve. (just let me know when you put it up)

I'd be more than happy to take care of it for you. Pity I'm not in a position to take it off you now, wouldn't mind something quicker than the liberty

$1? or swap for a train carriage? :D

FYI guys i'm in Melbourne so it's probably only of use for people around MEL (or possibly SYD if you're keen for a spirited drive back up the Hume!)

The Liberty is still a great vehicle. The B5 was awesome!

Damn slow market :(

Have a mate (who's not on AFF) who's looking for a WRX or similar at the moment.

Any mods on it? (Not an issue if there are).

Perhaps you'd like to PM me a link to where it's advertised elsewhere and I can pass it on.

We sell our cars from work thru carsales.com.au and they all get a wave goodbye. They have the customers and the stock to compete with.Better declare I am a shareholder and a satisfied user of their site!

While I'm looking for a second car yours is probably not it. I want to park it in the street near ADL during the week. So needs to be cheap and likely to still be there when I return. ;)

Half of that would be true! These things have PIN pads, you need to enter a 4 digit PIN before you can start it (and has anti-car jacking and other neat stuff).

Cheap? well not a cheap-cheap car, but good value :P

Here's hoping someone finds it this week. I really need it gone within the next 14 days or things will get messy unfortunately :(

It's on carsales (Was the first place I put it). After a week without a response, I put it up on 2 other paid sites as well as 1-2 free listing sites.

I fear it's just a really bad time to be selling my type of car (or perhaps indeed any car, i'm just getting no bites even after a 3rd price drop).

I'll sell you my Camry. No one will steal that...

Is that adjusted for the fact Hyundai made 5 billion of them??

Thats based on australian data where they were never a top seller, apparently each year they fight with the VX commodore for the title, anything made before 2000 is popular!
