Selling QFF points on eBay

And if you are found to be breaching the program T&Cs as you propose, your account will be shut down and likely banned for life.

and that's the issue. it's not whether anyone personally thinks there is anything wrong with transferring or selling miles, it's what the program says.

do I agree wi the program terms and conditions (particularly regarding claiming tickets for non family members?) ... no I don't. but the risk is that QF may ask for proof of the relationship.

if you are selling miles to a relative within the terms and conditions (eligible family member) then go for it!

Wow I've never read so much negativity about monetising QFF points. These forums are here so we can all maximise value - this is the way to do it.

It's also funny how so many people are looking for personal credit cards for business purposes to get more points - not sure which is worse....

As I posted, it's a breach of the terms and conditions that *you* agreed to when you signed up. It's fraud, and QF will likely pursue it. They read this forum (waves to Red Roo) and don't think they won't.

There are no laws against using personal cards for business expenses. If you do your accounting properly, it's 100% legitimate. Some cards will exclude 'business' purchases from points earning, but that's simply for points.

The negativity is towards your blatant ignoring of the rules, not the monetising of points.

Just an observation. There does seem to be a lot of negativity on this post yet not so much on other examples of rule breaking eg. USDM awards and Asian stopovers on awards to GUM.

Business transactions would be against all personal credit card T&Cs as the comsumer credit code excludes all business transactions, but I couldn't care less that you use your card for that purpose. I'm just surprised that no one is like "all the best, hope it all works" :)

Again OT but the first time I searched "qantas" on ebay I couldn't believe some of the things being offered. Needless to say after about a month I'd sold 5 pairs of QF J pajamas that I'd kept in the cupboard over the years :)

Also hard to believe people try and sell those express cards on ebay. Haven't seen any actually sell but I'd bet more than a few of us who have a drawer full of them would like $5 a pop!

If you really don't want the points, don't have valid family to transfer to and want to make yourself feel really good, donate to Unicef through the Q store.

Frequent flyer point fraud has attracted the interest of the AFP in the past.

No idea, but the second listing I found makes that one look cheap:
Qantas White Platinum ONE Executive Q TAG ONE Brand NEW | eBay

Mentions WP1 but the photo says 'Your Chairmans Lounge' :)

I'm not sure what's worse: the attempted sale or the exorbitant price being asked.

Far and away the most expensive item is the blanket that, as has been pointed out, was more than likely stolen. But it wouldn't be worth more than $150-200 at most.

You'd think for that price they'd include free postage...

i would have thought $15-20 at most for the blanket?? (I was originally thinking $1.5-2, but maybe that was too low!)
