Seoul, Hong Kong and Bangkok

Hong Kong – This was just a short visit at some point we tried to bypass altogether but could not get alternate flights so was only here for a couple of days. Stayed in the Marriott, and got upgraded.

Walking back to the hotel had to stop off and play in this.

Although we didn't spend much time in Hong Kong we were not fussed as we were returning in a couple of months. Traveling on rewards it can sometimes be difficult to change things but that's the way it goes.

First visit to Bangkok so it was mainly tourist stuff. I could not get over how many Budda’s there are, “Big Budda, Sitting Budda, Happy Budda” and the list goes one. I also got pretty fed up with calls of “Tuk Tuk” it just seemed to be constant. My first world whinge is over so here are some photo's.

I know there are other parts of Thailand that could be worth visiting but at this point in time they are not on my “to do anytime in the near future” list. I suspect insufficient time was allowed. Seoul and other parts of Korea on the other hand is high on the places to go back to list.

Adventure over and time to go back to work in an unexpected twist I had to head back to Hong Kong for a couple of days.

Thanks for the great photos. Korea is such a worthwhile place to go. I love Seoul but its really nice to get out and into the small towns. Hiring a car here - outside the cities - is good as there are so many small places worth getting to. Ideally avoid the motorways and take the small roads. The museums and galleries all over the country are really well done. There are lots of interesting cultural festivals throughout the year as well.

Taking the cable car in Seoul may have been a good idea. Its a bit embarrasing when you are walking up a hill and find yourself being rapidly passed by tiny 80+year old ladies. They really handle the hills well!

Excellent photos thank you! I am contemplating spending a few days in Bangkok next year (first visit) so I appreciate your thoughts on the place.

I think their call that a F lounge, don't they? I was in some sort of Asiana F lounge at ICN and it was underwhelming.

@RooFlyer looking at the photo’s from your ICN lounge the lounge you were in and the one I was allowed into are different lounges. ICN has both a F and J Asiana lounge as I was travelling TG J with *G status I could only access the J lounge.
