Hi everyone,

I have Gold status with Air Canada and will be travelling with wife and kid 12 yo on Asiana flight between SYD- OKA in Apr 2024.

We will have 4.5 hour transit on the way back and would like to use Star Alliance lounge(SG Krisflyer).

with Gold status, I can bring one guest but can I buy lounge pass for third person either my kid or my wife? If so how much?

Sorry if this seems trivial as I couldn't find any information to ask the lounge directly.

Many thanks in advance.

Singapore airlines lounges do not offer paid access. They also are quite strict on the one guest policy.

One option is to pay for the Matina Lounge lounge otherwise enjoy the ICN terminal, they've got some Korean cultural activities and displays scattered throughout.

If you are very keen on the Singapore airlines lounge aside from your wife obtaining star alliance gold (through a status match if possible) the only other option is to purchase a yearly United Club subscription for your wife, at US$650 (~AU$1000) its quite an expensive purchase however could make sense if there is lots of star alliance travel planned but not enough to make gold.

The other option is to obtain a HSBC Star Alliance Gold Mastercard. As soon as you meet the minimum spend your wife will receive *A Gold status. She can choose from a range of airlines.

Many thanks for your inputs. I did achieve Gold Status with the HSBC card. My wife isn't keen on getting another card. However, it looks like you can't buy a lounge pass for SG lounge.

Another option is SkyLounge ICN pass from Klook. Probably not as good as SG lounge but at least it's something and very nearby. Only thing is we can't all be together which might be a good/bad thing :)
