I am there a few days later. As I mentioned in another thread I find the BKK Qantas Business Lounge staff very friendly and if you ask nicely they are likely to let an extra guest inside especially if lounge is not busy.

Thank you JohnK. I plan to be sweet and charming - my niece can't help but be so - and cross our fingers she will get in with us! Otherwise, I'm pretty sure we will be able to convince some kind solo stranger in the lounge to guest her!

Can you guest someone who isnt flying on Qantas that day?

I am flying BNE > LAX but on V-Aust (VA 7) and virtually the exact same time as the QF15 flight.

If so I will definately take you up on that guest offer if it already isnt taken

According to the rules, you can only guest someone not travelling on the same flight if accessing the lounge via class of service. When using QF status to access the lounge, rules state that guest must be travelling with member.

I don't know how well the different guesting policies are applied wrt access to International lounges.

Hm, the rules on the page of the link posted by Notzac state that QP members in the International Business lounge can only bring a guest who is travelling with them. I'm travelling in Y+, and am not WP, so have not status or anything that might change those rules.
Could try, but it seems according to the rules, it might not be possible. I've only ever guested people on Intl flights who are on the same flight as me, so am not sure how much this is policed?

Yeah I am not sure how heavily it is policed. Would be great if someone could shed some light. I checked the other guide Here: Discover the benefits of The Qantas Club
and it basically says unless your WP that international guesting can't happen unless they have QF or BA same day, I'm willing to give it a go if you are How well are you at batting eyelids? We might just have to charm my way in haha.

Yes yes yes!!!

Munchen is a wonderful city too! I found that during the Oktoberfest, some of the little beer gardens were better than the festival as it gets very crowded with drunks, like the Royal Easter Show in Sydney, but everybody is pissed.

Do they still have 'shrooms available in the 'Dam? I was told that they were now banned?
