I usually finish up sometime between 5-6, and including the walk to Mascot it's about 20 minutes office to lounge.

I don't have set hours though and usually leave when I've done what I need to do that day (and/or when my brain has had enough)

Looks like my 6:00pm SYD-BNE has been cancelled! Hands up anyone surprised? Airport is chaos with all once a year flyers taking kids away on school holidays. I can swear some of them have not see the inside of an airport before.

I have been put on 6:15pm newly created SYD-BNE flight but I am not hopeful of this one getting away on time and even if a few minutes late will more than likely mean I miss the last airtrain at 7:59pm. So much for trying out the opposition. At least I have been given 2D but not sure if this is an Embraer or a 737 configured in all economy.

Just missed you. I got here at 6:45pm and was shifted to a flight that was 2 hours earlier than scheduled, although it's delayed. Wonder if the weather today had anything to do with it?

I think maybe severe storms on Gold Coast. I did notice a few cancelled flights to/from Gold Coast. Apparently the aircraft that was due to fly my SYD-BNE flight was hit by lightning and from what I can gather when we touched down in BNE was that there were people going to the Gold Coast and more than likely shifted on to this flight from cancelled flights. :shock:

If not Gold Coast then where were the issues? I know SYD had horrible weather all day but some of the cancellations do not make sense unless there were flow on effects.

Got my visa last week, my letter arrived in August, had to wait for a colleague as we were on the same LOI. I didn't ask if work would pay the $660 for fast processing, so I got the two week processing. When my passport came back, I asked my colleagues when they wanted to see me & they said asap. SO excited to be going to Russia!
