A while back can't remember when but there was a mistake with HSBC premier card where when you join up swissotel you became a instant eleva member even without the card . I had opened up wife's , mothers fathers and sisters account because we also got a free gift which was either a three course dinner or a free night . Of course it didnt last long .For further proof you can see here on the third comment . Also check cc on FT as I traded this benefit a few times
