We have given up on Sheraton Mirage. Despite it being old, the location was absolutely fabulous and we go there 3-4 times a year for the past couple of years. However, whilst everyone is nice, they seems to always need to recover from a mistake. Last year whilst Mrs Sparoz was still expressing, we asked to have the minibar fridge empty, and we always have to chase them up for it. We asked for late check out according to SPG Gold, but our keys always failed to work after 12pm. No one ever remind us that we need to have our keys cut. Our last stay we had the cleaner coming in around 11:45am without knocking, and then must be the person responsible for checking rooms knock on us 15 minutes later. I have made my point asking for a 2pm as well, and went back down to the reception and have new keys coded till 2pm as well.
The porters are great though, as they recognise us with the bub, and has always been helpful. However, there was at least three fails in each stay and we have moved to the Hilton who we found is much more efficient in their ways of doing things. Besides the refurb in the room are a bit random. The bathrooms for example still have the old tiles, but have new bath and sink which doesn't go well together. Cleanness of the room especially the bath room was never spot on either.
