What about Hawaii. Any experiences to report?

If i didn't already tell you, get the $5 plover shuttle bus to Waikele outlets. Little Miss's twinkle toe shoes were from there (tho not a huge bargain). I also got two frocks from Ralph Lauren for $30ea, marked down from orig. $130-180.
Also go to Ala Moana centre ($2 pink tram or $2.50 on Thebus) & there's plenty of big name shops along Kalakaua. Macy's at Ala Moana is where I got the visitor's discount without even getting the card.

The discount cards from Macys,Bloomies and Lord and Taylor all had exclusions including jewellery and designer fashions so unlikely to get something off Chanel. All these are owned by the same company-Bloomies did get rid of their traveller's discount12-18 months ago but it may have been restored due to poor US sales.
Found a US price list for you-

Our friends have all agreed that Camarillo Outlet Mall is the best one around Los Angeles. It is north side and you can use a slightly over sized hire car to fit your shopping in. With the currency just over parity with the US dollar you can get lots of clobber at really good pricing.
