I received a confirmation email saying "welcome to fast track" but no info is showing on my app or in my online account. I thought that while I was "gold" temporarily it would appear in my app.
How will anyone know at the lounge that I'm allowed in? I am guessing it is somehow linked to my FF number? I just feel silly showing them a card that says Bronze. I don't want to have any hold ups or issues trying to get in tomorrow when I get to the airport.

You aren't actually gold during the fast track you just become a Qantas club member, i.e. you aren't entitled to any benefits besides lounge access. The in app card should update to say Qantas Club in the top right corner and an expiry date should be down the bottom under membership number. If this hasn't updated I would call them asap to get it updated because lounge staff can always be difficult. The call centre can be a bit of a mission to get stuff done plus they linked my fast track to an older member number I didn't even know I had (same email on accounts so thats how they got it confused when emailed details for match) and now I'm going through a merging duplicate accounts process thats a nightmare because they are making me keep the older number so I need to update my ff number with woolies, bp, amex, commbank etc

Thankyou
It says Qantas club bronze
What was the start date you nominated. It takes about 10+ days to activate. Mine has just activated and it says Qantas Club in the top right corner under the bar code and an expiry date in the bottom left corner under your name and membership number

I activated yesterday
All is good I’m in the lounge now at Canberra right now!

Trip report please!
It was a great whirlwind trip, went up to Sydney via Canberra on Thursday and home again Friday. My Sister and I went for the Frozen Broadway musical show. (Which I highly recommend)

I have never flown with Qantas before, but as Virgin wasn't flying I had no option. I got the Fast Track sorted which was a very easy process.
I must say Canberra airport was pretty quiet and it was kind of nice just walking right thru security etc with no one around.

Getting into the lounge was a super easy process, only the Business lounge is open at Canberra so we went to that entry. Everyone was wearing a mask inside, although some not wearing them properly.
Food offerings were pretty good (Breakfast), the pancakes were delicious and juice was chilled to perfection. Service was great although it took a long time for them to clear plates.
They had plenty of magazines and seats available. I'd say there were maybe 20 people in the lounge.
I will say I didn't fancy the view of the street and building next door, much prefer overlooking the planes and runway.

Flight was on time and nice, great service by the cabin crew.
On the way home Sydney airport was much the same, not a lot of people, getting thru security was simple and quick.
The Club lounge was closed, so we went to the Business Lounge, luckily my Sister had spare shoes in her bag as they wouldn't let her in wearing her thongs.
Lots more people in the Sydney lounge (to be expected) but still well over half the seats were available. It was lunchtime, I got a few sandwiches, cous cous, some cake. Sister got the same and drinks from the bar. Service great, plates removed quickly, bathrooms very clean.
Flight was delayed by an hour, they left us sitting on the very hot bus for 30mins, it almost got unbearable in there with masks on it was so hot and stuffy and most of us were standing. When we finally boarded we waited again on the plane for another 30mins with no A/C on.
When we finally left the flight was great, good service and snacks onboard.

All in all I had a good Qantas experience, still prefer Virgin though. Feels a little more relaxed and "fun" with them. Not sure why, just a feeling I get.
