Would you rather be sharing the Lounge with an entire AFL team or getting on the cans with Liam Reddy in the QP?
Capacity control should have been part of the Lounge God/dess process. If the team was to take the numbers beyond the maximum, they should have denied access to some, if not all.
I was in The Lounge with the BNE Lions a couple of weeks ago, similarly they were well mannered, queued correctly, spoke to patrons and signed autographs. They also took up the entire AFF section, so were mostly out of sight
My wife and I were in the ADL Lounge on Saterday when the St Kilda football team and their entire support staff entered. This Lounge is not large by any means and it was soon full. They gradually began grazing the breakfast bar and queued for coffees etc.
They did not misbehave in any way and were not loud, but we were a bit overwhelmed and eventually left before our flight was called.
We just didn't feel relaxed or comfortable
Has anyone else felt intimidated by 30 odd people entering The Lounge in about 10 minutes ?
No different to any organisation IMHO, should businessman be denied entry at 6AM on a Monday morning just because there are a lot of them?
Didn't know the lounges have an AFF section. Where might this section be?
I would rather share the Lounge with 30 footy players than 3 children.
In the BNE line it’s the quiet corner, hiding behind the curtains the the right of the entrance desk when you enter.
Probably because only AFF members wander deep enough into lounges to 'discover' that portion of the BNE lounge .So why is called the AFF corner? Do there be AFF meetups in that location, or am I likely to stumble across habitual resident AFF posters should I venture into said location.
It was a sweeping, generalised statement.I guess that depends on the parents. My daughter has been in and out of the lounge since she was 6 and has been less noticeable than most adults from the first visit. Trouble is now at 9 she is always telling me that a particular person should be more quite or shouldn't take so much food or isn’t dress appropriately etc. Fortunately, she has also learnt there is time and place so is like this in the lounge not all the time.

I wish I was lucky enough to share a lounge with a football team
*drools*
Surely the teams risk management would dictate that they entire team doesnt travel on the same flight, interesting, wonder if they do all show up at the QC and then board the same flight all together.
I too would have thought that there was risk management in place. It would be terrible if another Munich incident happened (Munich air disaster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). I suppose that they have calculated the risks and found that they are acceptable though.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
I am on the same 7.10pm flight as Richmond next Saturday coming back after the game. The entire front half of the aircraft is blocked out. The best seat I, as a Gold member, can get is something like row 14.
Just for interest's sake, what happens when you are refused Lounge entry because it is too full? Vouchers? Nothing?
Bummer. Will have to try and get there before they do.Nothing. No soup for you.
