Should I be worried? (LATAM booked QF27 flight)

Hi there,

My wife and I booked some multi city flights through South America, and for some reason we could only book the flights that we want to directly via LATAM, which includes our first flight from Sydney on QF27.

Now, due to an issue LATAM made in spelling my wife’s name, they needed to re-issue the reservation and split us up. When I check with Qantas, my eticket is visible to Qantas in their itinerary and have added my QFF so I can see all my details in the app. However, my wife has also been issued an eticket, which Qantas can see, but Qantas are saying that eticket is not attached to an itinerary (which I’m not fully sure what that means).

When I contact LATAM they say there is no issue, and under their agreement with Qantas all details get confirmed to them either 24 hours before or the day of the flight, but have assigned us both seats (which the Qantas person could also see the seats assigned to my wife and I).

Should I be concerned about this as our flights are in 3 days. LATAM is saying there is no issue but the Qantas people are all confused. I’m not an expert in how international booking systems work, so any advice is welcome!
