Simple answer - no.
More complex answer - no but I don't think you can undersell the benefit of the larger screen. Lots of games run on both the iPhone and the iPad but I would rather play them on the iPad (though Infinity on the train with frantic swiping of the screen makes you look a little strange). Having watched TV shows on the iPod touch I would rather watch them on the iPad. I could read and edit documents on the iPhone but it is dramatically easier on the iPad.
