Should I try for A380 upgrade from Biz to First before check-in?

Have you tried calling QF directly? Also has the flight been ticketed? Occasionally it seems that you can't request the upgrade until ticketing takes place.

Maybe that's it. I just got an e-ticket. I'll give them a call. Ta!

There have been reports of the online upgrade facility not working on I class fares with this very issue.

A call to Qantas generally gets the request submitted quite easily.
