I'd very much welcome any comments and experiences based on people flying as a couple in Air Singapore premium exonomy, A350 or Boeing 777-300. We'll be going retrurn Melbourne to Singapore.

I'm assuming in either case A&C or H&K would be preferred to D,E,F,G, but beyond that ... as far as I can see

Row 31 has the lure of additional legroom, but I'm concerned at tyhe presence of the dreaded bassinets in that row.
Row 33 has the benefit of no-one immediately behind you, but has the first row of economy behind it.
Row 32 seems a good compromise but has both the potential for people in front of you to drop back into your lap and those behind you to disturb you with their comings and goings.

Of course it's all about compromise, I'd love to hear the experience of others. As much as possible! Thanks.

I can't really help you, as I've never flown SQ PE before, but I've just booked 31A. Babies will need to defer...

If it's anything like my flight in PE on JAL it will be fine... Just bring an inflatable footrest (and maybe good earplugs).

Ha ha, thanks. One thing I've learnt over the years is to NEVER fly without earplugs. Good ones!

Keep in mind that if you're in the first row your TV is high up on the wall.
Good point, thx.

I'm leaning towards the back row of the cabin, to avoid the knees in back or coughing/yakking loudmouths behind me syndrome.

I would go for the bulkhead. Crying baby next to you or a couple rows in front probably won’t make much difference. Having no one recline back into you will give you a lot more space.

And one thing we noticed on our last trip was lots of coughing, snorting and sneezing! At least in the front rows you’d hope the airflow goes backwards!

We were momentarily concerned the centre bulkheads in business class might have been snapped up by pax with a baby, but as it turns out they were PPS. We were fine in the A/K combos.

Thanks ... I'm assuming then that bulkhead row isn't blocked out for high status Kris Flyers?

No, you just pay extra for it (if you don't want to chance waiting for the 96 hours situation).

Thanks! Anyidea how much extra?
It’ll tell you how much when you go to choose the seats. It varies depending on the flight.

I tend to go for an aisle in the middle row. If you’re an aisle person, I’d avoid the back row because the PE toilets are shared with economy down that way and people can bump your chair when they’re passing by. I’ve never flown the first row because I don’t want to pay for premium seat selection. Have a look at the seat map on seatguru: SeatGuru Seat Map Singapore Airlines

Last time I saw SQ PE seats you had to use the Y cabin toilet, which was a big disappointment, so has that been reconfigured?

Not that I know. I last flew SQ PE in November and the loos were shared with economy
