Here's hoping other airlines do the same, I'm flying QF to Singapore next Saturday, then Finnair to CDG and not looking forward to wearing a mask for 28 hours!

Qatar has a mask policy but it isn't enforced. I wore mine when being served or moving about the cabin. Otherwise generally off.

I think Finnair have dropped the mask mandate.

I hope mask mandates stay.

I'm more concerned with why I'm standing here in BKK airport waiting for my golf clubs as all bags have already come out. And our flight in was delayed only to find that wife and daughter's flight from CNX also delayed.

Private car booked in 1 hour time.

Nothing stopping you wearing your own mask!

As for waiting for bags, I empathise.

It's really up to the various countries that still have mandates rather than the airlines. Once the country drops the requirements the airlines quickly follow.
That’s what I’m counting on.

I’m flying SIN to MEL at 12.25 am Monday. I am really hoping at the stroke of midnight we’re able to take masks off. It will be interesting to see what happens :)

Unless the rules change by then, masks will still be required on flights to Australia.

poop. I just realised that! Oh well. I got some great masks in Singapore that are fairly comfortable.

Well the rules do change at midnight Sunday, the question is really how fast airlines recognise and adjust to this, I suspect that perhaps that they will do so in 25 minutes is optimistic!

Out on the street today I’ve noticed a lot less people in masks, the majority have been wearing them outdoors too.

Thank god, I really love flying SQ, and it will be great to not require a face diaper, and I am quite sure the crew will be much more comfortable and productive without having to wear them as well!

It's not a face diaper it's a face mask. It won't kill you to wear one but it might help someone else from becoming seriously ill, or worse.

Don't expect to be taken seriously if you can't discuss this issue like an adult.

Oh and I just flew yesterday from Manchester to Sydney via Singapore. Wore a face mask throughout except meal times. It was a minor inconvenience but I survived.

TBMK all flts in to / out of / within Germany still reqd to be fully masked - SQ would have no say in this - just like flts into Oz are still reqd to be fully masked
