Hi all,

I have been sent an email about a Singapore airlines flight change on the MEL to SIN leg of a MEL to KUL flight. This has caused a 9hr 50min layover.
It seems online that there is only option to accept the change or request a refund. Does anyone know if they allow changes to this booking without a fee? I would accept the MEL to SIN but want to change the SIN to KUL time to earlier.

Thanks!

It might make sense to pull up your booking on Air Canada’s site and see what their online rebooking engine offers (if it offers you that option). When EVA Air scrapped my flights I was able to rebook onto Asiana nonstop, and earn miles and status credits to boot!

Yes, changes will be free of charge. As others have said, have a look at the schedule of available flights and either move your flight from Australia, or the flight from singapore to something more reasonable.

New flights are assigned automatically, so calling up will get the human intervention needed.

To add the above had a schedule change on one of the legs of a BNE - CNS - SIN routing which made the connection in CNS a bit tight. Called up and they were very happy to change onto another flight no charge.

Slightly different issue but did not want to start a different thread. Had a 5 minute flight time change on SQ flight using Aeroplan. Do I need it get the ticket reissued ?
