Hi all,

Have searched around but can't seem to find an answer to this.

I've redeemed points on the Velocity website for a return trip to Singapore (outbound from Sydney, returning to Melb). Both tickets were "Business Reward" and are listed on the eTicket as "Class I".

My Gold Velocity status is likely going to lapse prior to me traveling, I'm wondering if reward tickets provide access to the Krisflyer Lounges at SYD & SIN?

I feel like I've read something in the past that indicated that reward/redemption flights didn't get lounge access, but can't see anything online to confirm/deny this.

Cheers!

All business class passengers will get entry to the Silverkris lounge...regardless of how they booked / FF status.
Simple answer - thank you. Now to ponder where that (completely wrong) idea came from...

Out of interest, do you know if Business tickets provide access to partner lounges? e.g., does a Singapore business ticket provide access to other Star Alliance lounges?

Yes they do...Star Alliance rules. If you wish you could go to the Air NZ lounge at SYD. There are no other Star Alliance lounges at SIN though.

Absolutely. In MEL & SYD, for example, first, business and star gold passengers can and do access the NZ lounges if they want to. In some ports they will direct eligible passenger to other lounges in preference to partner lounges (eg. at DEL, which is probably definitely a good thing!). In ports without any star alliance operated lounge they usually have an agreement with a third party lounge that any passenger originally ticketed in business class can access.
