I am doing 2 trips a week. They don’t last long….Just buy returns via NRMA. Same price and they don't have your money for a year (or run the risk of expired trips)

Oh ok that's different. Thought about using the PTV route? I guess if work is paying it doesn't matterI am doing 2 trips a week. They don’t last long….
I have done PTV before, but just sucks up too much time. Work is paying…but it is not client reimbursable…it is overhead…and it is small business…and I am shareholder…so keeping costs down and balancing value of time of equation!Oh ok that's different. For BNE, Airtrain is still return for free if you book online. Good value, in the sense that it is priced just about right IMO considering it is privately owned. For 2 trips a week buying book for Skybus is worth it, and if bought on a points earning card, that's 170 QFF points.
If I were doing the MEL airport run for early morn flights Skybus wins.
If for SYD, I would probably do the bus to Mascot and train around.
PER, train.
BNE, orange bus to Skygate and then bus to nearest station.
Turns out the train from domestic to international is $4 plus train fareFor 2 trips a week buying book for Skybus is worth it, and if bought on a points earning card, that's 170 QFF points.

Me too (twice weekly trips).I have done PTV before, but just sucks up too much time. Work is paying…but it is not client reimbursable…it is overhead…and it is small business…and I am shareholder…so keeping costs down and balancing value of time of equation!
Worked a treat, thank you. Don't feel like gambling on Metro services after working all night.Agoda Skybus Ticket Link
Agoda is currently selling the Skybus ticket with one way 19.52 and round trip 31.97
News today in the Herald Sun of a new road overpass into Melbourne Airport. Looks like it will take out part of the long term carpark closest to the terminal. The option to walk to the terminal will probably disappear and everyone will have to catch the bus from the long term carpark to the terminal.
If only they'd allow the train to be built then maybe this road overpass won't be required. How can one company's greed take a whole city hostage?
Are you suggesting that this might impact the location of the Skybus stops?Thousands of car parks lost as passenger pick-up zones change at Melbourne Airport
Easter travellers are being warned to plan ahead as new passenger drop-off and pick-up arrangements introduced for new Melbourne Airport's entry road.www.abc.net.au
free Article here. Hope this doesnt create even more chaotic traffic for the drop off, already bad at peak hours.

The bus, taxi and ride-share will still be in the forecourt. I think they will eventually move closer to the multi-story carpark. Are you suggesting that this might impact the location of the Skybus stops?
Just cancel the damn thing until someone willing to take on a PPP to have the right funding to build a serious line comes along. Sorry but there is a reason this project keeps getting kicked down the road (pun definitely intended)Allan government spends $67 million to pause building Airport Rail link
Contractors on Melbourne’s airport rail link have been paid $67 million to delay to the project.www.theage.com.au
Oh dear - looks like on hold for the foreseeable
What's so bad about taking the Skybus that only takes 20 minutes to the Southern Cross? (runs away into a corner)I am struggling to understand why it is so hard to build the rail link to MEL. Yes I know the underground/overpass debate, but for the long term it makes sense to build it underground. SYD/WSI are examples.
Sometimes you just need to build underground now and get it over and done with. If you build it later it would be even more expensive, even if it is overpass due to inflation etc.
It is amazing that WSI is going to have a rail link way before MEL would ever have. NSW just seems to get things done.
