Oman Air ranking above Asiana for F? WY only offers F on like one route (london). That must give an idea of the sample size. (I think WY may offer F to bangkok or something as well, but it looks like it isn’t a full first experience on that route).

Skytrax routinely quotes figures like '34 million' as its sample size.

I don't know its methodology, and it keeps this to itself.[/QUOTE]

According to Wikipedia Oman have 9 aircraft equipped with a total of 60 F seats. Asiana have 8 aircraft with a total of 92 F seats. So not a huge multiple in difference in the number of passengers , and Asiana probably fly longer routes, so maybe even carry a similar absolute number of F passengers globally. Depending on loadings of course.

I think wikipedia might be out of date with Oman Air. On some routes they don’t sell F at all, even though they have the aircraft equipped for it, and others are being refurbished removing F.

They just got some new 789s which this article by Lucky talks about... including the availability of F: My Experience Flying Oman Air’s Brand New 787-9 First Class - One Mile at a Time

Money Magazine supposedly has a readership subscription of 0.6% of population that is 14+. In comparison Coles magazine has 21.6%.

Does anyone really care who is Money Magazines car insurer of the year?

We are off to Europe next Friday with EK so hoping they haven’t dropped off as much as some people say they have
The awards do seem like a bit of a popularity contest

I actually don’t see where EK has dropped off based on my experiences, I’m flying them long haul about twice a quarter in J and F and haven’t had any problems.

If anyone has tumbled in my expectations through continued average service, food and product ‘enhancements’ it would be EY (I fly them in J). They are just very average at the moment. Pity - used to be a quite good tier 2.
