So FF miles aren't the meaning of life?.

Indeed not; they are just a nice benefit of doing the travel. occasional misposting occurs, but it is not normally a major issue, just an irritation

Dave,

You have possibly just taken away the 'meaning of life' for some people here :!:

Anyone ever tried complaining to the One World Alliance people? Would this help?

Forget about it. Even emailing them is useless. There are basically some marketing folks and that's it. Anything of any practiaclity is forwarded to individual airlines involved.

In my case, the whole reason I chose Finnair is because they were the only airline that gives 100% miles in L class. None of the other options-BA, CX, JL, QF offered that. So it is a big deal when the airline is chosen specifically for mileage accrual. If all airlines gave 100%, I would have gone with CX or maybe BA or QF.

Still not posted. It's worth 7495 miles including the gold status bonus which is a lot to a once a year holiday traveller, I know that is chicken feed to business travellers.

It still is not a big issue that it is taking some time to post; if you have submitted the claim then it will get credited. Maybe just phone and make sure that they got the claim ok. It's not as if you won't get the points
