Hi Aff'ers,

As always the font of knowledge resides here.

So here's my itinerary, all in whY.
11 Jun MEL-LAX QF93 0935/0655
11 Jun LAX-ORD QF3017 0930/1525
21 Jun ORD-LAX QF3056 1805/2025
21 Jun LAX-MEL QF94 2330/0755 +2

I am a QF WP.

Here it is from the QF website:
Fly - Baggage - Checked Baggage

What is your take on how many bags?
(I have my own view but I wont mention it as it may cloud the discussion)

I recently had an interesting time with AA flying back from BOS in relation to the piece count, hence why the question with the now amended luggage rules.

Cheers

I would go for 3 pieces max 23kg a piece

3 was my answer too.

So has that changed? When I flew in April I had 3 and was going to be charged for the 3rd piece by the AA check in dragon in BOS (on a QF flight number) (in the end i squeezed everything into the 2 cases and put the fold up duffel bag inside another case. weighed the same but 1 less piece.)

So it didn't really affect me.

Looks like another situation where a printout of the website page is required to travel with me.

It used to be two pieces for everyone and WP got an extra bag (as did J/F and maybe gold). It also used to be 32KG for each bag so a WP in whY has lost 32KG of luggage allowance.

So WP can take 3 pieces of 23 and they used to be allowed 3 of 32?

That is my understanding - I could be wrong though and the allowance for the Americas has not changed.
