So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

I suppose it depends upon what you have to sell / trade

We met with a few dealers yesterday to discuss, and we're going to get some valuations done to see what they can do. Looking at small SUV types - like the CX3/CHR types.

I no longer own a car and now rely on a combination of public transport and Uber, and simply hire a car for a few days when necessary. It's a relief to be free of the burden of insurance, registration, petrol, parking etc but sometimes I do miss being able to get behind the wheel and drive at my leisure.

Victoria is increasing taxes on luxury cars so probably a good idea to buy interstate if you're looking at models within that category.

Have a 2014 Mercedes C Class Coupe with black interior, black glass sunroof, has numerous electronics inc. sat nav and bluetooth, its very nice to drive and suits us two oldies who rarely have passengers, done a whole 58K kms so far.

Me too, sort of, 2015 C250 Coupe, last of the old shape. Bought it just a few months ago, it's my interstate drive car. Much nicer than the new B200 I've also got as a city car...no rubbish run flat tyres.

Current rental is Ford Kuga, Escape in Australia. Bit too big for my liking, small parking spaces etc, but so far, economy has been good, I do prefer a smaller car in Europe.

I agree about the car size. In 2011 there were 4 of us so we had a leased Renault Grand Scenic 5 + 2 seater. The Renault Captur we had a couple of years later was much easier to maneuver through the big cities and villages.

I have been a fan of SUV’s for some time. I like big ones though. Os economical, but I find the more often than not the extra space and grunt are worth it

So we narrowed it down to the HRV and CX3 based on trade-in offers. CX3 has inched ahead although MrD has an appointment with a car auction place this arvo to see if they'll offer a bit more than the Mazda dealership for the 86. My VW has a decent offer from them, so that's ok.

Can’t decide between the Porsche or the Lamborghini for my next vehicle.EA3D4CD5-6ABE-431C-8909-EF5F22042258.jpeg

Traded in my X5 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of an X7, it’s on the ship now :)
In the meantime I have a little X2 to run around in so going to find it hard to go back to a giant tank !!
