How goes people who have moved on from.the continuing maintaining of status.
Everyone is dropping as soft landing ? Are many having the offer to purchase and maintain their current status ?

Just curious as I haven't done enough to officially be a gold so hoping my drop will be a soft one from platinum to gold come Nov

Soft landing to the next status tier down, this is the rule of thumb.
I have been QFF SG in the past, when EK used to fly east coast Au - NZ lots more than now.
After SG at 3 years, I was down to PS, and then now at NR.
I haven't made an effort to chase SC, neither have QF ever offered me the chance to buy with $ or points to retain.
I do earn points with non flying activities, but not enough to claim PC.
