Solomon Airlines launching Brisbane-Auckland route

Starting 21 February 2025, Solomon Airlines will fly once per week on Fridays non-stop between Auckland and Brisbane. Operating aircraft is an A320.

I'm planning to go to the Solomon Islands later this year. I wish this airline was partners with one of our airlines' frequent flyer schemes so I could redeem these segments. Their domestic flights are very expensive!

They have a fairly generous pitch in Economy at 33, I understand the A320 is on lease from Jetstar but they pulled out many seats and put in J also.

I don’t see why adding QFF wouldn’t be an issue. They already have a pretty close relationship with QF with engineering, leasing the A320, and other small bits and pieces. They could somewhat be a good partner if QF needs to wet lease at short notice, they are chasing another A320 from memory also.
