Something's definitely up...for the A330s

Well they are all due for a J refit in the first half of next year so that's a reason for at least one to be out of service at a time.

As was posted near the start of this thread (by me! And possibly others).

I believe Brisbane is where they are done, or Sydney when the base is up to a point, c and d are done in Manila

Which are the big ones and approx how long are they off line ?

C and D are three-four weeks, I had heard they were looking at doing it locally but the $$$ may not make sense.

As far as I understand, the VA 332's aren't anywhere near old enough to require C checks. The old EK 330's they had that were over 10 years old didn't have their C checks until after VA got rid of them recently.

I think you are getting c check confused with d.
 
Indeed VA now has 330s flying PER - BNE, which they never showed up when I was chasing them over. to fly during the weekends.

C checks occur every twenty four months or thereabouts
