There are 47 lower house seats so 24 for a majority.

ABC have predicted a Lib majority govt. I’m a Labor supporter but I do think that there needs to be a change of government from time to time. Though it pains me to admit it

I agree. 16 years is long enough to establish good governance. For any colour. It’s like they loose freshness or something. And the last 6 months things have been going very poorly for the Government. I was ready for John Howard to go as he’d also run his course.

Ha. Labour guy on ABC panel just did the " we had a great campaign, got a swing to us" thing. Also heard Ant. Green say that the result tonight would have been the result last election on the present boundaries. Wow.

Libs ought poll 51.4% and Lab 48.6%

Last time it was 53% to Lab 47% and Lab won Govt

Weatherill concession speech "the handicapper has caught up with us on this occasion".

In effect, voters undertook trench warfare. Very little swapped hands except in the north-east of Adelaide where the mortgage belt tilted to the Liberals.

Because of the volume of pre-polls, barely 65% voted on the day. Even so, it's apparent Libs have not lost votes from last time. I suppose that's because voters who were annoyed they didn't win last time, weren't changing their mind this time. As an ageing population, the Libs are likely to stay in power.....

Unless, there's some kinda amazing disaster.

Funny how SAB, with its ex federal member leader, followed exactly the fate of the Jacqui Lambe mob here in Tas, with its ex federal member leader (and both leaders booted out of senate over citizenship).

I dislike parties created based on personalities.

How is he or anyone going to do that, my employer has a large workshop there and it's been shrinking as the customers drop off I'm there each month and economy is shrinking as well.

Nice low cost of living (except power) place to retire but .....

One of the surprises was Piccolo with an enormous swing in Light. I knew him from work as a union delegate - he's an impressive on the ground operator.

Marshall was one of my brothers mate at college...
so I had seen him in action way back when. I did speak to him on Arbor Day a couple of years back, but aside from that hadn't seen him since way back when. Still he had a good memory of the college days and he will be a capable Premier.
