Sparkling (Shiraz or Red) Recommendations?

Coriander - where did you source the Joseph from?
Bought the last three bottles in stock from United Cellars. I'm told they're cooking in a truck somewhere  between SYD and MEL.

I also love the Biblical connection to the Joseph for this time of year.
Yes, my father's name was Joseph, my #1 son's middle name is Joseph.

Aaargh!!! That didn't come up on a Google Search !
I didn't even think to look in Epiqure (my bad!).
Cost an extra $15 for three but, as you say, 5000 points.

I recently tried Lloyd brothers sparkling shiraz and Ekhidna sparkling shiraz. Really enjoyed them both - had to buy more. Both out of Mclaren Vale.

I recall seeing Dan's claim to have Rockford Black Shiraz in stock on line. Never tested that claim

In our house we swing between Black Chook and Rockford black shiraz as the go to sparkling red.

Well, the Joseph Sparkling Red went down a treat on Christmas Eve with much praise from all the guests for me for "finding" this wine. Thanks of course must go to you members of this wonderful community who took time to offer genuine suggestions on helping to make our Christmas evening just that little bit more special.

Thank you all.

Some good suggestions there redbigot. It would be good to have a SS tasting some time much like what Wozza is organising in January.

We did this inadvertently did this a few Sundays ago.

I brought a Rockford Black Shiraz - 2014 disgorgement
A friend brought a D'Arenberg Sparkling Shiraz ("peppermint paddock" I believe).

The D'Arenberg was actually quite good (better than numerous others I have tasted), but next to the Black Shiraz, it was a clear second place. Rockford Black Shiraz is perfect on a warm summer's day.

I haven't had it for many years, but certainly look at Seppelts given that's where Robert Rocky O'Callaghan learnt his trade.

The d'Arenberg will be either 100% Chambourcin or a Chambourcin/Shiraz blend, not usually one of my favourites, but I haven't tried it for a few years.

But be aware they may order it in when you order and delivery can be slow and they often don't respond to emails after making the sale.

I think the Bird in Hand is more of a Rose wine rather than sparkling red per se.

The Peter Lehmann Black Queen 2011 has been panned by a few on my Forum, not as good as the 2010 and also one report the 2012 is lacking as well.
"Wine Companion TN by Tyson Stelzer: Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz 2011 Rating 89"
From a person visiting PL CD recently:
"2012 Black Queen Sparkling shiraz $42
Much lighter then the 2010 version, they say its elegant, but it is similar to the RAS Wine Show bottle I tried. Just not right, nor good enough to buy. "

Turkey Flat is pretty good usually, I haven't tried the latest batch, it's usually a little less sweet the most, the Moxie is a bit broad and sweet, but and Ok drink.
