Sparkling (Shiraz or Red) Recommendations?

It could be a sharp price instead of error, I think these went for $60-65 pb during langtons sales a few months ago which I missed.. plus the new vintage 2012 has been released. If anyone has ebay plus and is interested to share a case in Vic let me know as 6 is too many for myself :D

It was $55pb in a Langton's Carpe Diem sale back in March and they still had free freight on a 6-pack (over $300) back then.
 
Sparkling shiraz... that's still way expensive for something I'd want them to pay me to drink
It's a bloody good sparkling shiraz - I got a few at the Langton's Carpe Diem for $55 a while back and I'd buy again.

I love my Sparkling shiraz. Rockford Blsck Langmeil, Charles Melton and many Anderson from Rutherglen incl a Sparkling Durif.
I'm a fan of all the Anderson sparkling

Was a fan for leasingham classic clare sparkling shiraz. Unfortunately it is not available anymore

Gosh, that is some line up. Minor correction tho, I do have some, I just don't like it very much.

With a claimed 'good' one, I always feel it's as if someone took an OK red, spooned in sugar syrup and then bled in some sour bubbles... pushmepullyu city

Given that a 'good' one tends to cost you over $40, it makes me ask - why not just have a yummy red wine instead?

There are some/many pretty ordinary sparkling reds, too sweet, too light in mouth feel, too young and simple, occasionally too dry or disjointed dosage, don't remember sour as a problem, but many cheap ones are just carbonated, next level tank fermented, best are bottle fermented.

But the best are a joy to drink, complex flavours with older components, full mid-palate, long fresh finish, generally preferable to a similarly priced Champagne or sparkling white for my tastes.

Each to their own, I drink sparkling reds at least once a week all year round, more often in the warmer months.

I have 0. Tasted one from Seppelt twice and liked it but I don’t know, it never crossed my mind to drink more of it. Maybe I’m not Australian enough (born and raised in the Old World)
