Along the same lines of today's earlier post re SQ posting of sc's and points.

Family member flew with etihad on Saturday just gone (SYD-AUH-ATH) on EY service operated by EY metal.
Flight was booked through STA travel.
velocity number was added by calling EY direct.

How long would you wait before going down the retro claim avenue? These flights will tick me over to gold so would like to have them in my account sooner rather then later.

What have been people's experiences with EY points/sc's posting?

Once it posted within a day, quite often never. And oddly, different sectors of the same trip can post at very different times.

My experience is that it posts automatically ... sometimes. Wait a week or two, if nothing has happened by then you'll need to raise a retro claim.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I am praying they post on their own, last retro claim with an airline partner (VS) was just a nightmare to get posted, and when finally posted was still wrong!

If It hasnt posted by the end of next week it would be fair to say it probably won't post / retro claim?

Hard to say. Give it a full two weeks, hang on to the boarding cards and eticket as you may need them for the retro claim.

Mine have always auto-posted, but have taken the best part of 2 weeks. Unlike SQ, who post almost before you're off the plane!

Just flew VS MEL-LHR return, first flights posted 3 days after arriving in LHR, on return posted 48hrs after arrival. Very very happy with that given the nightmare stories on here about VS in particular. I found SQ took for ever, nearly 16weeks.

My experience has been as follows:

1. My Velocity number was added to the booking and the points & SC's posted in ~7 days of flight
2. Mrs.AE's Velocity numebr was not added to the booking and she had to retro claim - Took a month but *Double* SC & Points posted (Paid for Discount Eco. & Got Full Eco P+SCs) :)
