And I forgot to claim the $50 voucher when I booked a one-way VA flight for $73.50 last week.

Seeing it has to be used over the phone, does anyone know if they waive the call centre booking fee? Couldn't see it in the T&Cs on the page with info about vouchers

I don't think it will affect Velocity points as it is a voucher towards the flight rather than a free flight or similar.

Even if the $50 is invalid, the difference can't be anything more than 250-350SC. I couldn't see the flight being completely invalid for earn based on the T&Cs of Velocity.

But, you'd better contact them if you are concerned.

Looks like I need to chase up Amex again. It would be interesting if there is an expiry date as well.

No deal. Can only be used on flights. Don't think it's really worth spending $55 on lounge access!
