What happens to the signs/queues with the new grouped boarding system? Presumably they won't be needed any more?

Recent BA boarding group experience in London. J and WP row 2 on Qantas ticket I was boarding group 3🤨 on boarding pass but they did call business passengers forward first so off we went out of our group 3 corral I'd say something else is going wrong there, should have been group 1.

Aren't those cylinder poles MEL Airport issued? I swear they have the same design as the VA ones in T3.

Yeah they're MEL issued. Presumably MEL designers didn't quite know what they were doing and used the wrong OW priority logo

The scanners will just turn away the riff raff, no need for signs!
