Spring 2013 First Lounge menu

As announced in the latest issue of Gourmet Traveller, all seven Rockpool Group restaurants have been listed in the top 50 of their 2014 Restaurant Guide. Congratulations to Neil and his team!

To celebrate, I’m very excited to share a sneak peek of the new spring First Lounge menu prior to it’s launch on 05SEP in SYD, and 10SEP in MEL.

Breakfast for the super healthy
Egg white omelette with ricotta, capsicum, tomatoes and chives

Just as delicious & flavoursome as our whole egg omelette this slightly lighter version is filled with fresh Paesanella ricotta cheese, roasted capsicum, oven roasted tomatoes and chives. Brasserie bread organic sourdough is served at the side (optional for those with gluten intolerance).

checks where can I go OS, just for the pancakes in the lounge, they are amazing!! (then remembers I could just head to spice temple, but that would be to simple)

Might have to try the omelette Saturday week, sounds nice, have scheduled three hours in preparation for a loooonnng flight in a non refurb 744 to SIN.

Classic Asian inspiration with a little heat
Scampi fried rice with garlic chives and chilli sambal

A delicious simple stir-fry using garlic chives, capsicum and ****ake allowing the sweet flavour of the scampi to shine. Served with a chilli sambal to to give it some heat and depth of flavour topped with crunchy eshallots.

Sweet sensations
Passionfruit tart with pistachio praline and wattle seed anglaise

A crisp delicate crème fraiche pastry tart with passionfruit curd, topped with crunchy pistachio praline and served with a wattle seed crème anglaise.

Of course, there are many more fabulous dishes to look forward to. Bon appétit!

Can we please bring back the Chocolate Lave Cake? It was like a little piece of me had died inside the first time I went to the F Lounge and it had been removed from the menu

Haha the last two times I've been in the First Lounge for breakfast I've had the egg white omelette. I do, however, follow up with the fritters...

The Passionfruit Tart sounds amazing. Too bad my next OS trip is at the end of November =(

Sounds Very Tasty indeed. Think I need to hurry up & become Platinum to get access to all this mouth watering tucker in the First Lounge!

First opportunity to trial the F-lounge in MEL next month (I'm from Perth, you know - we have to go out of our way to get the experience) on my way to North America. Hope the saliva supply holds out.

Awesome, the menu changes just in time for my MEL F lounge visit! I will try my best to have one of everything on the menu (Red Roo has there ever been a challenge on the most number of F lounge dishes in one sitting?)
