Hi,

For those that may be interested a great article on the SQ Concorde story with some photos, worth a read. Link below:

Really great read
Love the concept of dual livery on a plane
Thanks!

Didn't get past the 1st paragraph "...world’s most popular supersonic passenger airliner – Concorde"
And the other candidates are?
AI?

The Concordski (Tu-144). It flew before the Concorde - though not very well - and eventually entered passenger service later than the Concorde. It was in passenger service for 6 months - "a fatal crash during a test flight in May 1978 prompted the airline to pulled the Tu-144 from service for good in June 1978. The Tu-144 had made 55 passenger flights." So if you were slightly insane you did have a choice.

Ah yes right, that nickname "concordski" has triggered my memory.
So that Russian copy would be the world's 2nd most popular supersonic passenger aircraft.

Fascinating read between the politics and unlucky chap to be attacked by a fellow passenger.

Have also toured G-BOAD at the Intrepid Museum in New York, and she’s a beauty.

Yes I've been on the Concord! (but just on the ground at intrepid museum:(). Like others I was surprised (but really shouldn't have been) how narrow it is.
One visited bne in the 1980s, I happened to be at the airport.

After the novelty, I wonder if most (other than very time poor) people would prefer longer, 1st class, travel, even without a price difference. Hence the poor loadings in the end.
