SQ refurbishing KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN

As I have my first trip in SQ F in February, I'm anxious to learn if they'll be completed by my flight

Business lounge renovated first, followed by First lounge and TPR, finally the Gold lounge. As the process is expected to run until mid-2021 I would think your odds are very low.

Looks from the map to be the old Dnata lounge which was my lounge of choice traveling economy. It had nice showers and toilets but is a lot smaller than the old Gold lounge, not sure how over packed it will be.

I was in the 'new' space yesterday for several hours. Seems to be shared with Dnata and Marambai(?) each with their own lounge dragon. Approx. 80% full most of the time I was there. The 'lounging' chairs were all down the far end, with a very noisy children's playground of some kind just on the far side of a partition wall. By 7.30 pm no fresh fruit left except apples. A very long walk to the T3 A14 gates for my SQ227 flight.

Altogether a down-market experience compared with the LHR T2 equivalent.

I was in the SQ Gold lounge last week. It's shared with the Mahraba lounge - well, it basically IS the Mahraba lounge with an additional entrance really. I think it's pretty good hold-over until the new lounge, certainly many times better than the old SQ Gold which was dire. Reasonable bain-marie selections, beer fridge and some spirits, seating with power points etc. I wouldn't want to spend 3 hours there but I think it's ok.

One new experience: getting a buzzer unit to advise you of when a toilet becomes available. Yes, toilet space is limited.

Is there a separate area for SQ vs. Marhaba customers? Or literally multiple entrances feeding into the same one area. I read a quote from SQ pre-switch-over saying there would be a dedicated area, but not sure if that's actually eventuated.

I used this lounge before my UL flight to Columbo earlier this month. It is as described; one lounge with two entrances (although I did not need a buzzer to use the lavatories).

7am-9am it was quite busy.

Silver Kris Lounge and Private Room to open first but no set seperate date to the mid-2021 opening.

I couldn't get a picture last night as I had to run for my connection due to a delay coming in from BKK.

On the way out of Aus though I did notice the T3 lounge Gold Lounge coming along but I prefer to use the T2 lounge than the Marhaba in T2 for economy travel.

Visited the T3 Marhaba lounge (temp Krisflyer Gold lounge) twice in the last couple of weeks, and found it to be a very good substitute for the old T3 Gold lounge: showers of course being the biggest plus. Also an excellent food selection, counted 12 different hot food options (puts QFi SYD J lounge to shame with its miserable one selection). Decent spirits, beers and wines.

The biggest issue, as noted earlier, is the capacity issue - really busy at peak periods - not a lot they can do about this in the short term though. But I had a shower on each occasion, and did NOT have to wait.
