Sample dates 6-13 August, MEL to AMS or ZRH, just under $5000 return. Routes via CPH and connects to SK or LX for the intra-Europe flights (in Euro Business).

Does not work for Paris. So you might need to shop around for eligible destinations on this one.

Travel times are about 1-2 hours longer due to the extra stop.

Looks good. Trying to work out how to add a stopover in SIN on the way back. Can anyone see how?

I can't see a way to do this on the SAS website. But you should be able to do this by booking with a travel agent.

You could also try finding the flights you want on ITA Matrix, then plugging the results into Book With Matrix in order to book via an online travel agent.

The fare rules do allow stopovers.

I was wondering if using a fare such as this flying on a SAS airline code but with singapore as the operating flight whether you would still get velocity points as you do with SQ coded flights

No. You can't earn Velocity points for flights with an SK flight number as SAS is not a Velocity partner.

(You can credit to a Star Alliance program such as KrisFlyer though.)
