Yes, the exact same dates cited in the article.

I said "re-reverted" because initially all European destinations except LHR were supposed to be axed, but only FCO was cancelled. Then late June UL confirmed that CDG and FRA will also be axed.

So looks like UL finally "re-reverted" their decision to cancel flights to CDG and FRA...I realised yesterday when trying to book SIN-CMB-FRA in December.
"Accordingly, the last flights between Frankfurt and Colombo (UL 553/554) will be operated on October 30, while UL 563/564 of November 6, 2016 will conclude the operations between Paris and Colombo." Srilankan airlines to suspend flights to Paris and Frankfurt | Colombo Gazette

That's disappointing. At least LHR remains (for now).

When I did fly CMB-LHR the J cabin was essentially sold to the point where bidding for an upgrade was not worth it. As BA routes via India for CMB passengers I would suggest the UL flights will remain profitable and will continue.

Three UL A330s are being leased to PIA. I believe with crews.

Happy wandering

I have just completed return trip from Colombo - LHR and BOTH flights in J were full to capacity, and it's an excellent product may I add

This airline has something like US$3 billion in debt and is continuing to look for a suitor.

As many will know it had a relatively short lived dalliance with EK. Perhaps UL is significantly overstaffed as MH was (and TG, and others probably are).
