A noob question perhaps. I am taking a couple of J paid flights (4 return J BKK-BLR in 2 months). They are all saver fares. Can someone with experience let me know the best FF program to credit these miles. Should I just opt these miles into Flysmiles (@125% miles) or bank them into Qantas (not sure how many status credits I get).As I will likely be in Sri Lanka in Nov, I seriously looked at the CMB-MEL flight. exCMB is a good fare - price wise. The connection to PER is not as UL combines with a fully flex fare - so MEL-PER is going to cost more than CMB-MEL if I want a single PNR. I'd consider separate tickets but with no flight history the connection might prove "iffy" at two hours. Finally decided on CMB-KUL-DPS(Z) on MH and JQ into PER, the latter being one of the few earning flights not arriving between 2000 and 0600.
CMB-MEL at just over 5000 miles will credit well to MPC/Asia Miles, for those interested.
Happy wandering

When crediting to QF, BKK-CMB-BLR in the business cabin should earn 100 SC each way. So four round trips will earn 800 SC. If you have four qualifying QF flights (think 3k from BKK with a plus package as a possibility for one) then you will achieve QF Gold status, which will allow lounge access..A noob question perhaps. We usually fly Virgin - but if the SC from these Srilankan flights gets me close to some status in Qantas - I will be happy.
