I missed this one first time around, so thanks from me as well for the effort of putting up these enticing photos.

Ok - so I can no longer edit the posts so will upload the photos in roughly the same order as originally and generally the same pics (plus more) as in original post. Hope that helps!!

Thanks so much for going to all the effort of re-posting the photos. It looks amazing! We're also staying at the Tea Trails, so your review on that has definitely made me extra excited!

Were you happy with your driver? Would you recommend? If so, can you PM me the details as we are looking to try and lock one in.

Thanks again!

Which Tea Trails are you staying at? Having visited 3 in total, I admit I loved Dunkeld the most.

I would not recommend the driver we had but I used someone else when I returned later that year. Just as a transfer from Negombo to Weligama and return which he was able to do as it was off season.

He was awesome. A friend has used him since and was very happy. Another friend contacted him but he was booked but he referred them on. He was recommend to me from a Sri Lanka local (ex pat).

We also used Lucky for our visit. He has been providing services for many years & was fantastic for us. He is a very safe driver (important in Sri Lanka) & a keen photographer. He is highly recommended by the destination experts on Trip Advisor

Thanks for that! Will touch base with him.

We're staying at the Summerville Bungalow. Not that it looks like there is a "bad" place to stay, but have you stayed there?

No - we stayed at Dunkeld but went to Summerville for lunch - it is also the seaplane jetty. They are directly across the reservoir from each other. And Castlereagh is below Dunkeld.

Norwood is further around on the Dunkeld side and higher up again. Final one (Tsienting?) is in the next Valley so doesn’t have the water view.

They offer a free tea tour so I suspect you’d be brought across to Dunkeld for that. That’s what I liked about Dunkeld was that it was on the working tea plantation.

They were transfer you between bungalows for meals so take advantage of that. You could come around for lunch at Dunkeld and spend the afternoon lazing at the pool and wandering the tea and then walk down (15 mins) to Castlereagh for high tea and get picked up from there. It’s fun to see the other properties and experience the different chefs.

They also have massage people who will come to you.
