Does the birthday bonus come as a separate entry on the QFF site or as part of the regular points transfer?
One transaction on the QFF account, but is noted separately on the relevant monthly statement from St George.

just received my sign up bonus,
my birthday is in march,
not too sure whether i should keep it until then....

also got anz FF black, and CBA MC
but no fee free foreign purhcase cards (not that I do many)

any pointers guyss?

I am still waiting on my bonus to come through. Can you tell me what statement they posted on/how long after the spend was met?
applied first week aug
approved mid aug
min spend made end of aug
just got the bonus points now, in the past 2 days

I would ring and check they have your QFF details correct.
Took them 3 times to get it right for me .-
There may be an issue in their input so I would ring them, have them enter the details then have them read it back after they have saved the changes.

That’s a long time to wait for the birthday bonus.
It depends if you want to reduce your limits and improve your credit score to apply for another card then it may be good to dump it.
The ANZ black FF has a better earn rate if you plan on keeping it for regular spend.
CBA MC has poor earning rate so not much point keeping that.
If there are other sign up offers which you are eligible for then I would go for them instead.
If there is not a huge amount of spend on the St George such as if you only spent the $4000 for the bonus points then birthday bonus would only give you an extra 300 points. If you spent a much larger amount then it may be worthwhile.

So was that with the 2nd statement?
I met the spend in the 2nd month but haven’t received the bonus points yet so am hoping I will get them with the third statement which is due in a week.
My regular points have posted fine so hopefully I won’t have any issues.

just checked, it seemed like ages, but it was the second statement, quite impressed, however I did make minimum spend pretty quickly

and yes good points ,CBA MC is like my backup card since I have my savings account linked to them, plus I have a 6 figure limit, which has just started to show up on the Credit file,

yes agree ANZ FF has the best ratio,

and im also trying to reduce to limits and exposure so will cancel the st goerge soon, im supposed to get about 1000 bonus points for birthday, also ive signed up for this

Register on Qantas Website for an Additional 10,000 Qantas Points When You Sign up for a Qantas Point Earning Card

so need to wait a few weeks to hopefully get the 10k points :)

Definitely. 12 months.

'Existing customers who currently hold an Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer. '

Has anyone tested the exclusion period? I have previously received the bonus points when in the exclusion period, but that was over a year ago.

Would like to know too. However i'm also asking about if I apply using a BOQ application? I know the T&C's says specifically that you dont qualify but I'm pretty sure ive read somewhere that some people have had success in doing it. I had previously got the St G card. closed it a month ago.

Is there a time bar?
Without even looking, I'm confident that the answer is yes.

UPDATE: Confirmed:

'Existing customers who currently hold a Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer.'

I would add that in my last experience, I had to call 3 times and make a formal complaint and have a Complaints Officer issue me the points they owe me. Their process is absolutely broken so for anyone reading, don't shy away from making a formal complaint in order to get it resolved. In my opinion, St. George are the worst of the worst.

That sucks, sorry you had to endure that. Based on everyones NAB/pointhacks offer though... where else to go?

Just as a tip, if you look around you can probably find an offer that doesn't have all three, just make sure you then PDF that page. I have got both St. George and BOM points credited even when I still had the first card. Haven't tried for the trifecta but may do so.

Can you explain? Do you mean that if I "find an offer that doesnt have all three" you mean a URL offer that specifically doesnt mention the exclusion of the 3 banks, that I should be able to get the points? I know of first hand knowledge of a work colleague who has got the qantas points for both St George and Bank of Queensland, and he had closed < 12 months.

Bank of Queensland is a completely different bank!
