Credit Card Offers St.George Amplify Qantas Signature: 80,000 bonus Qantas Points (expires 30/4/25)

Same here, made spend on first statement and waiting.

Eligible spend met on 20 Feb and recieved my 3rd statement today yet no bonus points. 90 days timeframe will fall in next week but the next statement is not due till 11th June. Do I have a case for a complaint here for extra points? The T&C states that The bonus points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria is met.

Search for @Dr Ralph in the HSBC thread. The Dr was kind enough to provide a legal letter for just this purpose!

I made enquiries about my bonus points today. Said I made minimum spend on 12 March so they should land before 12 June. I'll continue the waiting game...

Good advice. Don't let them get away with breaching a contract.
But the T&C states that The bonus points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria is met. If it’s credited to my credit card account within 90 days but not transferred across to Qantas until the next statement, they can get away with it technically?

Also just had my third statement and the bonus points didn't credit... hmm. Guess this card is going to be the full 12 week wait.

This card for my husband was an epic effort to get approved through to card being received yesterday. Originally application received and conditionally approved 7 March. So many requests for extra information, emailed and then lost by them, new people to talk to every time. Oh my gosh!! Until early last week he spoke to an agent who was appalled with the whole mess and approval was given, accounts set up and card received yesterday.
Several times we nearly gave up but felt we had invested so much time and effort that we deserved the points!! And of course the no annual fee and points offer has changed since the initial application. The agent assured us that the original offer would be honoured.

Going on their past service I think a fight may be ahead!

Agreed, this was the worst application process I've ever had for a card. Multiple phone calls, multiple branch visits, all seemingly because I had a St George account about 10 years ago and their customer matching system threw a hissy fit.

Datapoint: I just got my second statement, hit the $4k spend about 2 weeks ago, normal points posted to QFF this morning, no sign of the sign-on bonus.

Both Amex Qantas Ultimate and ANZ Frequent Flyer Black gave the sign-on bonus on the statement in which the minimum spend was met - this waiting game seems to be relatively unique to St George - really hoping I'm not going to have to chase this. I only applied because of the sign-on bonus as the earn rate on this visa card is 25% lower than the Qantas ones from ANZ and NAB. At least now that i've met the minimum earn I can go back to prioritising spend on my amex which earn 0.5 points more per $1 spent.

Yes I agree the whole process is a mess. The last operator we got apologised for the mess and sorted everything out.
My sister-in-law has an account with St George and my husband once did some sort of transaction for her 3 years ago as she is living overseas. This seemed to throw the whole process into a hissy fit (as you say). But no one told us that until we spoke to her after 9 weeks.

I am not confident about the points posting after the spend.

I'm not sure if I should start another thread for this, but I was interested to find-out exactly how St G's travel insurance works on this card, esp for spouse / dependents.

Interestingly, and I hadn't come across this before, but you need to spend $500 on pre-trip expenses for EACH of the main card holder, spouse, and dependents that you intend to have covered - Allianz were very clear that the claims dept would want to see proof of $500 spend per person travelling.

That makes the cover included with this card a lot less flexible than other cards.

How soon after meeting the min spend criteria are the points issued. I did it pretty much in first few days of owning the card. Bought a holiday trip plus some groceries so surely they cant dispute that. After first statement nothing so far.

You may need to wait a bit longer - got my 3rd statement and still no points

They really are pushing it. Afaik the T&Cs stated that bonus points would be credited within 12 weeks after spending criteria is met. I am waiting myself as noted above and it makes me mildly cranky as i am eager to swap to accrue Amplify points and delaying some purchases because of it.

I haven't checked the exact dates (will do so on the weekend), but I must be getting close to the 12-week time frame and still have not yet received the bonus points. Very poor form by St George.

For those of you who have waited longer than the terms stipulate for your bonus points, don't forget to press them for more ;)

With the hassle with the credit applications and difficulty obtaining points, I might give this one a wide berth.... already had one unsuccessful attempt at applying with no obvious reason for the decline.

Data point: Spent 4K within the first statement period. Received promptly after e-statement was issued.
