Credit Card Offers St.George Amplify Qantas Signature: 80,000 bonus Qantas Points (expires 30/4/25)

Any recent experience on the time for points to land after hitting the spend?
Need to get to PCP, membership year ends 28/02/25.
Assuming you're referring to St George, I achieved the spend within 3 weeks and haven't had my first statement issued formally but the bonus points have already landed in my QFF account. Happily surprised!

Points didn't post within the stated 12 week period, so complaint letter sent today. As usual, expecting that the annual fee will be refunded. So 80,000 QFF points for free!

Just an FYI, the same thing happened with my last StGeorge card 18 months ago, so seems StGeorge never learns.

Should've asked for more points and $. Then when they decline, go to AFCA and increase! 😂
Depends on how much you value your time.

UPDATE: StGeorge have said they made a mistake and that they would award the points within 3 to 5 days. This didn't occur, so I've now lodged the complaint with AFCA asking for additional compensation.

I'm back to this card after my exclusion period expired last month and iirc I didn't have any issues with points posting last time around.

I do wonder about the wisdom of doing anything that makes card churning even more disadvantageous to banks - or which might bring it to the attention of people with the power to stop it,

hang on, the exclusion period is 24 months now, or was your application made under the previous T&Cs?
My application was made under the old 12 month exclusion period. StGeorge has already admitted liability. They just haven't followed through with the compensation that they said would be awarded in 3 to 5 business days. Hence now moving this to AFCA and upping the compensation request.

You wonder about the wisdom of trying to get the points that were originally promised to me? StGeorge had their chance to fix their mistake and failed. I've moved this along to AFCA because of that failure. Definitely not going to waste any more time trying to get StGeorge to do what they said they would already do.

StGeorge has already moved to a 24 month exclusion period. Not sure that I would reconsider what I've done in any way.

Data point for others reference:

I went for the Amplify Platinum. 50000 QF for $120.

The standard challenging approval process over a couple of weeks. (multiple calls, docs sent repeatedly etc). Seems to be standard for me with all cards except NAB these days.

Met minimum spend within a couple of weeks with bills (non government) and then gradually up to 6k by the end of the first month.
~53,000 points in my QF account overnight. Statement due today.

I'm thinking to apply for this card and have two questions I hope that someone can answer:
1. There is no information about the Birthday Bonus on the St George bank website. Has this been removed?
2. Does St George allow a card migration across to the non Qantas Amplify version of this card without having to do a new application? I'm thinking if I hit the 250,000 points limit before 12 months, I could migrate to the non Qantas version of the card that doesn't have the points limit.

Can only help you with the second question - years ago I switched, as you suggest, with no problem.

My application process was super simple, applied online and submitted docs straight away then 2 business days later the approval email. This was for the Signature. Good to hear the points are still being awarded quickly 👌
