A Qantas frequent flyer member can assign an Award ticket to Qantas staff as long as the staff is a family member.

Welcome back oh humble Willyroo! Having previously been married to a QF-staffer, I'll agree and simply say "what he said".

NO QF Club entry either when travelling on staff tickets (non revenue or sub load is the QF term I think) unless you happen to be Platinum and then you have right to roam in QF Clubs.

That must be DOM only because I've seen QF staff on travel get First Class seats and QFC privileges on INT LAX-SYD.

That is my biggest lament for both DOM & INT, because what chance do we have for upgrades as full paying passengers when the staff travellers sometimes take up all the BUS or FC seats.

I can see it would happen, QF staff would be able to get in there first onto the award seats ; Anyone know how often that happens though - QF staff getting first bite at the cherry ? (does this happen across the OW alliance ?)

Not across the OW partners. I know of QF staff being bumped off AA DOM flights and getting flights with UA instead :!:

Has been known to happen when the staff are on business. (Most airlines have two way staff arrangements)

I'm not sure about non business flights. :?:
